Welcome to
Bowring Park & Golf Course

Welcome to Knowsley’s most historic municipal park and the oldest municipal golf course in England.

Bowring Park was formerly the Roby Hall Estate, with its heyday in the Georgian and Victorian era. It was purchased and gifted to the people of Liverpool by Alderman WB Bowring in 1906 and formally named as Bowring Park thereafter.

There’s Plenty on Offer

As well as the Par 71, 18-hole golf course, come and enjoy the beautiful parkland of this former Georgian country estate, inspired by ‘English Landscape’ designs of the era.

The historic gardens offer views across the golf course and opportunity to unwind, whilst the Coach House will give you somewhere to refresh and find out more about this important site and how you can get involved in the park’s activities and various projects!
