Get Into Golf Day

This International Older Person’s Day, we’re going to be offering a free programme of events here at Bowring Park & Golf Course to encourage people to Get Into Golf!

Whether you play regularly and want to meet new people, haven’t played in a few years or never at all, everyone is welcome to come and take part in our free event.

On the day we will be offering:

  • Golfing Nets Session

  • Putting Practice

  • ‘Longest Drive’ and ‘Nearest the Pin’ competitions

  • Disc Golf

  • Golf Course tours

  • Refreshments and snacks

When: Wednesday 04 October
What time: 11am - 2pm

    Golfing Nets Session

    Have a relaxed, no pressure nets session in our brand new practice nets. Pick up the clubs again without having to worry about getting the ball down the fairway!

  • Competitions

    Whether you’re new to the game or returning after a while away, there’s nothing like a competition to get into it.

    Standard golf isn’t for everyone, why not give disc golf a go? It’s growing like crazy and with good reason!

  • Golf Course Tours

    The perfect way to get to know Bowring a bit more before you play, see a golf course in full or even just have a quick buggy ride. Our tours will be on hand to show you around.

  • Refreshments & Snacks

    An event like this wouldn’t be complete without some teas, coffees and cakes!
